Winter…is that you?
The sudden cool change caught us a bit off guard. Aside from making our bed that much harder to part with, everyone in the office is craving syrup on toast. Bakers Delight have definitely made their money off us this week…
This week’s CR is Loving is all about a warm hug for your soul.
Redlands Centre for Women
The Clarity Road Team were lucky enough to connect with the amazing ladies at RWC through the 2013 Redlands Women’s Expo. And we have to say, we couldn’t hope to meet a warmer group of women.
RCW is run by a group of dedicated and passionate volunteers who are all about providing opportunities for women in the Redlands area to be empowered, educated and connected. They provide women in need with pamper gift packs, and run self-esteem courses, parenting groups and goal setting courses for women all walks of life.
And if none of that is quite your speed, they are also available for a coffee and a chat. This can sometimes be the best support of all.
myCompass
The cooler weather and self-reflection doesn’t always leave you feeling too crash hot. Sometimes, the negative can outweigh the positive, and you can slip into a mental rut.
myCompass all about promoting self-help among Australians who are experiencing mild depression, anxiety or stress. The tool is interactive and catered toward your needs. After completing a quick survey that examines where you stand mentally, you receive access to a range of relevant self-help resources. You can track your moods and learn methods of self-resilience to make life seem that bit brighter. The site also checks in with you through email and sends the odd inspirational quote to your phone in order to keep you in a good head-space.

Immigrant Women’ Support Service
We have blogged before about how much we adore the Women’s Legal Service. The Immigrant Women’s Support Service is equally high on our lovin’ list.
IWSS is a community based organisation that works with women and children of non-English speaking background who are or have been in domestic and/or sexual violence situations. The service employs bilingual, bicultural workers qualified in the social work and behavioural sciences field. This means that the service can provide culturally appropriate support, information, short-term counselling and referral for those in crisis.
A fantastic service for those who may otherwise slip through the cracks.
