CR is Loving – Supporting a Good Cause

This week, CR is Loving…

Charity Spam

There are always events on in your local community supporting a good cause. The trick is finding them –  cue Charity Spam.

The site is run by Tara, self-proclaimed fundraiser by day and cash-poor energy-rich philanthropist by night. She started her blog as a way to spread the word about acts of kindness and worthy charitable events taking place in the community. Not only does she include a great calendar listing all things fundraising, but also a very witty blog where she makes you laugh out loud and spams charity causes all at once. The best of both worlds!

Check out charity spam to see what’s on near you.

The Kitchen Table Network

The Kitchen Table Network is a fantastic community all about supporting working women.

In the crazy struggle to juggle family, career and personal passions, women often forget to to take care of themselves. The Kitchen Table Network seeks to offer women the opportunity to take a bit of a time out while still (kind of) working. They have created a solid networking and referral system among their members, who support, encourage and nurture each other in a positive environment. The group runs regular networking events as well as inspirational and motivational seminars. Their website also features a marketplace, a blog and videos galore to help women further their professional lives and remember to take a second to breathe.

Loving their approach to networking – check them out here!

Bright Learning Centre

Bright Learning is a Brisbane based learning centre for adult run by self-proclaimed “learning ninjas”

They aren’t just out there to educate. Their mission is to allow adult learners to share experiences, learn a new skill and continually experience the joy of learning. The centre offers a series of short classes that are a bit quirky, run by instructors who love what they do and are passionate about sharing their skills with others.

Courses include cupcake decoration, turning ideas into drawings, brewing tea and even the basics of coding.

Every class aims to put the fun back into adult learning and to remind is that you are never too old or too busy to pick up a new skill, learn a language or simply satisfy your thirst for knowledge!

A fantastic, positive learning environment that we can’t get enough of. Check out bright learning here.

Camp Hill Family Fun Day

If you are too busy to take a glance at Charity Spam before the weekend, don’t worry – we have you sorted.

Keep Sunday clear for the Camp Hill Family Fun Day and the Camp Hill Bowls Club. The event will have loads of family-friendly entertainment that is sure to keep the kids (and hubby) happy. There will also be a bunch of giveaways and prizes to be won on the day – including a Free Clarity Crash Couse with Julie! Hooray!

All funds raised go directly to the Cancer Council. Good cause, good entertainment and good company. We’re sold!

It could be taking a holiday, going to the hair dresser, doing a dance class, art class, or yoga, meditation, deep breathing, laughing with a friend, or visualising a happy place. “Stress mode” cannot coexist with “relaxation mode”, so find a way to relax and take a break.
