This week, Clarity Road is Loving…

Queensland Working Women’s Service

The Queensland Working Women’s Service (QWWS) is one of the most important resources out there as far as preserving and enforcing women’s rights in the workplace is concerned. QWWS provides women with free information and practical advice over the phone for a range of workplace issues. They act as a safety net service for women unable to gain assistance from organisations like unions or solicitors. The QWWS may also be able to assist with accessing formal complaints processes in relevant commissions, including the Queensland Anti Discrimination Commissions, the Fair Work Ombudsman and Fair Work Australia.

The QWWS is part of the Working Women’s Centres national imitative. Similar services can be located in all Australian states through this link.

Visit the QWWS website, here.

The Raising Children Network

This website is a fantastic parenting initiative that provides in depth answers a lot of day-to-day questions associated with raising children. The site also offers information packages, a forum for parents and interactive and entertainment resources. Some of our favourites include baby karaoke, talking to teens, parenting in pictures and a dad’s guide to parenting. Pretty much anything to do with raising children can be found here.

Explore the site for yourself.

ShopWell App

The ShopWell App is an ideal tool for anyone shopping with dietary requirements in mind. Once you set up a profile detailing any medical conditions (e.g. high blood pressure, allergies) and other foods you would like to avoid (e.g. palm oil products) the app does the rest. You can browse through items that are safe or not to safe to buy, or scan barcodes when you’re at the supermarket to view how suitable they are for you. Details are displayed in any easy to interpret colour-coded system. We love ShopWell because it make life that little bit easier. And we need all the help we can get while shopping with kids in toe!

The app is available for free download on both Apple and Android products by following this link.
