Legal Help South Australia
SA Legal Aid delivers a wide range of legal assistance services in criminal, family and civil law matters. Some legal assistance is available free-of-charge to everyone, including through free brochures, information sessions or telephone legal advice.
The Women’s Legal Service SA is a community based legal centre providing a legal services to women in South Australia. They provide a free and confidential legal information telephone service, free and confidential legal advice, assistance, referrals and representation, Metropolitan Outreach services such as at the Southern Women’s Community Health Centre, outreach services to rural, regional and remote areas, community legal education workshops and seminars and law reform initiatives and activities that work towards positive key legislative and policy changes for women.
The Legal Services Commission offers free legal advice, community education and legal representation to all residents of South Australia. While their main office is in Adelaide, they also have offices in Elizabeth, Noarlunga, Port Adelaide, Holden Hill, Mount Barker, Port Augusta and Whyalla.
Family Violence Legal Service Aboriginal Corporation is based in Ceduna, but provides a range of free legal and support services to assist and protect Indigenous Australian victim-survivors of family violence and/or sexual assault state-wide.
The South Australian Community Legal Centres provide legal advice, assistance and referral to community members who might otherwise not get the help the deserve. Each year, hundreds of people access their network of centres located across metropolitan and rural South Australia. At each centre qualified solicitors, legal advisors and support staff will take the time to explain your legal obligations, your rights and your options.
