Legal Help NSW
Legal Aid New South Wales delivers a wide range of legal assistance services in criminal, family and civil law matters. Some legal assistance is available free-of-charge to everyone, including through free brochures, information sessions or telephone legal advice.
Women’s Legal Services NSW provides a voice for women in NSW and to promote access to justice, through the provision of legal services, law reform and community legal education, particularly for women who are disadvantaged by their social and economic circumstances.
South East NSW Women’s Legal Service is an outreach service located on the Shoalcoast.
Aboriginal Legal Service NSW assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women and children through representation in court, advice and information, and referral to further support services.
Wirringa Baiya is a community legal centre for Aboriginal women, children and youth that focusses on issues relating to violence against Aboriginal women, children and youth. The centre is located in Marrickville but offers assistance for anyone living in New South Wales.
Legal Help NSW – Central Region
Central Coast Community Legal Centre is located in Wyong and offers free legal services for areas including Family Law and Domestic and Personal Violence.
Elizabeth Evatt Community Legal Centre services the Blue Mountains, Oberon, Lithgow and Bathurst regions providing free legal and advocacy assistance. EECLC also has a tenancy service, Blue Mountains Tenants Advice and Advocacy Service, which provides advice to tenants in the Blue Mountains.
Hawkesbury Nepean Community Legal Centre provides legal advice and assistance to the Hawkesbury, Nepean and Hills communities. We are based in Windsor with outreaches in the local area. Their services include a Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service and an Aboriginal Legal Access Program.
Hunter Community Legal Centre provides free legal advice and assistance services to disadvantaged people who live, work or study in Newcastle and surrounding regions.
Legal Help NSW – Northern Region
North and Northwest Community Legal Service offer free and confidential legal advice and help to everyone in the North and North West of New South Wales.
Northern Rivers Community Legal Centre offers free legal advice and assistance for people in Lismore and surrounding areas.
Legal Help NSW – Western Region
Western New South Wales Community Legal Centre is based in Dubbo and offers services including Rural Women’s Outreach Program, financial counselling and employment advice.
Legal Help NSW – Southern Region
Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre is a not-for-profit, community managed free legal help NSW service that provides assistance to men and women of the Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley areas, as well as more extensive services for women in surrounding regions.
The Illawarra Legal Centre assists people to realise their legal rights. They promote social justice for all, with a particular focus on reaching those who experience social and economic disadvantage in the Illawarra and surrounding areas.
